Welcome to Blossom Wellbeing

Blossom Wellbeing is a virtual social work-led private practice specialising in mental health. We are strong advocates for the mind-body connection and offer a range of evidence-based services to support whole-of-person health and wellbeing. These include psychological therapy, yoga therapy, and Ayurveda.

Our Principal Practitioner holds credentials as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC), Registered Yoga Teacher, and Ayurvedic Practitioner. They specialise in supporting clients dealing with complex trauma and eating disorders, although Blossom Wellbeing caters to a diverse range of presentations. We primarily utilise mindfulness-based and somatic psychotherapies to assist our clients. Our Practice Manager, Maria, is available to provide efficient and friendly support to all.

✅ Access to all necessary software for private practice, including booking calendar, client record system, secure telehealth platform, professional email, and Google Suite products.

✅ Marketing and social media promotion, including a Psychology Today profile if you do not already have one.

✅ Clinical governance framework with policies and procedures.

✅ Access to subsidised clinical supervision if desired.

✅ A friendly, experienced team in social work private practice.

About you:

✅ Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the AASW.

✅Medicare Provider Number, professional indemnity insurance, ABN, and a police check (we can provide advice on obtaining these if needed).

✅ Private space, equipment, and IT skills for telehealth from home.

✅ Willingness to allocate time slots in advance (e.g., a month at a time) for clients to book with you directly online.

✅ Skills in evidence-based psychological therapies, with expertise in mindfulness-based and somatic psychological therapies and in working with trauma being a plus.

✅ Strong social work values with an anti-oppressive, inclusive, and affirming approach to working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal, CALD, LGBTI, and disabled clients.
