The Role:

The Clinical Mental Health Services Manager will lead the delivery and enhancement of psychological and psycho-social mental health programs; Brisbane Mind4Kids and Expressive Therapy Programs. These services aim to improve the mental health and social-emotional wellbeing of children and support families increased awareness about their children’s mental health needs. The Clinical Mental Health Services Manager will also work collaboratively with other programs to create an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. 

The role is a full time position based in Deception Bay. The role is funded until 30 June 2023, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Brisbane Mind4Kids and Expressive Therapy Programs.
  • Oversee the referral and intake processes with support from the Intake and Admin Officer and Senior Child, Youth and Family Counsellor.
  • Provide line management to a small team of professionals and clinicians, including supervision, debriefing, training and promoting positive team culture.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as General Practitioners, schools, child, youth and family services and other mental health services.
  • Actively participate and collaborate with the leadership team to support the day to day management of the Deception Bay site. 
  • Reporting, data collection, administration and compliance responsibilities.

 

To Be Successful:

  • Post graduate qualifications in Psychology or Social Work.
  • Registration with a Professional Body such as Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering mental health and wellbeing programs. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with children and young people. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team delivering diverse programs. (Supervision, managing performance and fostering a development culture)
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to evidenced-informed therapies and experience working with strengths based, client-centred and family focused trauma and attachment informed frameworks. 
  • A strong ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build rapport. 
  • Strong skills in administration, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution. 
  • A warm, friendly personality and the ability to motivate and inspire a team. 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Current QLD Drivers Licence.
  • Current Blue Card.
  • Current National Police Check (within 12 months).
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Some after hours work required.

     

Salary and Benefits:

  • $100,000 – $110,000 + Superannuation + Salary Sacrifice (Salary is negotiable depending on experience).
