MELBOURNE CHILDREN’S’ PSYCHOLOGY CLINIC (MCPC) – IVANHOE
We are a group of Clinical Psychologists with diverse expertise and training in Infant, Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology. MCPC is located at 30 Seddon Street and is walking distance from the train station and centrally located within Ivanhoe shops. We are an established clinic with a strong referral base throughout our current networks.

We are looking for a Psychologist with Endorsement in the areas of Clinical (or eligibility) or Educational & Developmental Psychologist (or eligibility) for immediate start to join our team as a sessional independent contractor (full time & part time available, flexible times).
The successful candidate will be able to determine flexible hours and select clients of their preference. They will receive a high level of administration support, regular supervision, and will be part of a supportive and relaxed team.

The position includes:
- Fully-equipped and furnished therapy rooms appropriate to working with children, adolescents and families.
- Ongoing provision of referrals via our intake service that includes a thorough intake assessment and screening procedure.
- Electronic practice management diary that is accessible from anywhere to help you keep track of your appointments and provides you with financial reports and summaries.
- Administration support that includes; intake and management of initial appointments. reception, invoicing & account facilities, and support in completing Medicare reporting requirements.
- Regular Clinical Psychology Supervision provided by the principal psychologist (who is endorsed as a clinical supervisor by the Australian Psychology Board).
- Regular Group Supervision and Professional Development (that meets board criteria for ongoing registration requirements).
- Flexible hours.

- Access to a range of psychometric tests including cognitive, developmental and educational tests.
Essential criteria:
- Masters or Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
- Endorsement (or Eligibility for Endorsement) in the area of Clinical Psychology OR Endorsement (or Eligibility for Endorsement) in the area of Educational & Developmental Psychology.
- Experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with a range of psychological issues.
- Experience in the assessment and treatment of children and their families with Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred.
- Competence in diagnosis using DSM-V criteria
- Risk assessment skills.
- Eligibility to provide Medicare psychology services.
- ABN (Australian Business Number).
- Professionally insured by a provider approved by the Board of Psychology.
- A valid Working With Children’s Check.
