Making a real difference in the lives of survivors

We are a non-government organisation working collaboratively within service provision systems in the ACT and surrounding areas to provide services and programs to eliminate sexual violence against women, young people, children, men and families.

Our crisis line is a key service that is critical in ensuring the ongoing wellbeing of the community. We operate from 7 am – 11 pm, providing counselling to victims and their families and community education programs.

We are committed to excellence in service provision, access and equity, diversity and social justice. We now have multiple opportunities available for Crisis Counsellors to join our team in Canberra, either on a full-time or part-time basis.

What you’ll receive

This is an outstanding opportunity for a health professional to truly make a difference in the lives of the people you encounter each day.

This role comes with an attractive salary circa $88,762 – $92,773, with some flexibility to choose the hours that will suit your lifestyle. You’ll also receive clinical and cultural supervision within a supportive work environment and flexible salary packaging!

Our offices in Canberra are conveniently located close to public transport and with free parking on site. A vehicle allowance is also provided as the occasional use of your reliable vehicle may be required, though company vehicles are more often used.

We are very much dedicated to your career development; you’ll receive ongoing training, counselling and crisis to help you expand your experience. To help you keep calm and focused within this environment, we will also provide you with clinical consultations, monthly intervals and external supervision.
