About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for providing family dispute resolution (FDR) to families by assisting to resolve issues in dispute such as parenting arrangements and property dispute resolution. The role is also responsible for undertaking assessments, group work (as required) and providing information, support and referral to match presenting needs to services and programs.

Great opportunity for a family dispute resolution professional seeking permanent, part-time employment working four (4) days per week. This position is based at our centre in Traralgon and the successful candidate will be required to work at least one (1) evening until 8pm each week to deliver services to meet the community needs.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, social work, law or psychology.
  • Successful completion of the Vocational Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution.
  • Demonstrated previous experience (minimum 3 years) as a family dispute resolution practitioner.
  • Registration as an FDRP under the Accreditation Rules or on the Register of FDRP maintained by the Attorney-General’s Department for eligibility immediately, and
  • Experience or training in property dispute resolution as well as willingness to undertake training.
