TransitCare is a not for profit organisation that provides socially inclusive, safe and reliable transport and support services to assist socially isolated people and people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and participate in their communities. Main services provided are social and medical transport and activities for clients living in the Brisbane South, Logan and Redlands areas. We have the opportunity to offer a fixed term part time role until March 2023, with a possibility of extension for a HR Graduate or Student.
This role is ideal for a HR degree student in the final year of study or a recent HR graduate. This position offers 24 hours per week to be worked across 3 or 4 days. This is a generalist junior HR role which provides the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Human Resources.
The major components of this role are:
- Assisting with the recruitment of new staff
- Performing inductions for new staff and volunteers
- Coordinating organisation’s training plans
- Assisting with Employee Engagement Activities
You have good written and verbal communication skills. You enjoy working with both small groups of people and autonomously.
You will need to have the ability to complete basic written reports clearly and accurately, excellent people skills, a clear criminal history and be eligible for an Industry Authority, Blue Card and NDIS Workers Screening and Disability card.
