JOB DESCRIPTION

Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Our leading Mental Health Division incorporates a number of specialties and services across community and bed-based services.  

 

A unique opportunity exists for a highly experienced Registered Nurse/Allied Health Clinician with qualifications in Family Therapy to join our Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement (HOPE) program. 

 

HOPE clinicians provide tailored, holistic support to people post a suicide attempt with the aim of supporting the person and their carers and families to identify and build the protective factors that reduce the risk of suicide or repeated intentional self-harm. 

You will need to be available 2 shifts per week on a rotating 7-day roster across day and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications and experience;

  • Experienced RPN3 with recent experience in mental health nursing
  • Occupational Therapist G2, Clinical Psychologist G2, Social Worker G2
  • Post graduate qualification in Family Therapy
