The Salvation Army Australia’s Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children’s and parenting services, counselling, support, men’s programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

We have an exciting opportunity for a values-driven and proactive National Family Violence Specialist, reporting to the General Manager of Family Violence located in Coburg. This position is instrumental in providing specialist knowledge and expertise in Family Violence practice to support service delivery across Australia. This is a full-time permanent position.

You will successfully

  • Assist in the development of national frameworks and service delivery models
  • Develop processes or procedures that facilitate consistent best practice service delivery
  • Develop evidence, reports, procedures, materials, or collateral that supports the practice
  • Undertake and implement quality and continuous improvement across the stream
  • Coordinate communities of practice

You will have

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and relevant experience
  • Postgraduate qualification would be highly regarded
  • Experience in social and community services programs including in program management in family violence.
  • Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the family violence sector
  • A current VIC Drivers Licence
  • Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
  • Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
