AMC Psychology are looking for dedicated and experienced clinicians to join our established private practice.

AMC Psychology is an established private psychology practice in Wetherill Park that provides evidence-based psychological intervention and assessment across the lifespan. Work-Life Balance

Our psychologists see a maximum of six clients per day with an additional two hours of paid administration time included each day. This time is used for writing treatment notes, letters, emails, reports, or to grab a quick coffee and chat in the staffroom.

We understand the importance of administrative work and the additional workload that comes with it. AMC Psychology has full-time reception coverage and the support of a full-time practice manager. Why be tied down with your administrative workload of phone calls, scheduling, billing, scanning and printing when you don’t have to be. 

Salary Remuneration 
We understand the frustrations and challenges clinicians face, particularly where contractor positions are widespread in our industry. At AMC Psychology, all of our psychologists are employed on salaries. This offers our team members a guaranteed income, with full entitlements.

Architecturally-Designed Practice
Our Directors have created a space like no other, and within this calm and quiet space, our psychologists enjoy their own modern furnished offices.  We encourage our psychologists to warm their office space to their character and personality. Our practice also includes a dedicated staff-only meeting room, kitchen, and private bathrooms.

Peer Consultation and Professional Development
We understand the importance of peer consultation as a professional development tool. We strive to provide regular opportunities to meet as a clinical team to borrow on the wealth of knowledge within our practice. In addition, we hold fortnightly clinical meetings to ensure continuity of client care, and self care of our team.

Ever-Expanding Resources
We like to keep therapy fun, engaging and dynamic. We have an ever-growing Resource Library, which contains a diverse range of books, toys, games, cards and activities for clients of all ages. We also have a wide range of textbooks, workbooks and reference materials available to support your client formulations. 

Role Summary: 

  • Registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist. 
  • Permanent Part-time or Full-time position available. 
  • Salaried remuneration package of $110,000-$120,000 p.a. plus superannuation (remuneration package is pro rata for part-time positions). 
  • Scheduled 6 clients and 2 hours of paid administration time per day.
  • Providing evidence-based interventions within your areas of interests. 
  • Peer consultation and professional development. 
  • Paid induction training. 

What you will need: 

  • Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA. It is preferable if you are eligible for registration with Medicare. 
  • Valid WWCC and National Police Check
  • Permanent Australian citizen or resident with no work restrictions
  • Clinical experience working with various clients and presentations. Experience working with children is preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a respectful and professional manner. 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills. 
  • Positive and friendly attitude when liaising with clients, referrers, and colleagues. 
  • Ability to develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients. A successful candidate will exude a sense of genuineness, warmth, and fun.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills.
