About the Role

Based in Karratha, this position manages a small team of dedicated Support Coordinators and administrative staff in a collaborative work environment whilst managing their own caseload of NDIS participants.

This is a fast-paced role with a variety of interesting work in leading the team, managing the client caseload from across north west WA, community and stakeholder engagement with occasional outreach travel. 

To support NDIS Participants this role will:

  • Build the skills participants need to understand, implement, and use their NDIS plan
  • Establish supports, and over time, increase participant capacity to manage their supports independently
  • Liaise with services providers, community, National Disability Insurance Agency and Planners
  • Overcome the unique challenges of living in rural and remote areas and to live their best life

About the Person

Nexus Support Coordination requires someone who enjoys developing their teams’ skills, has a history of supporting clients to be their best and a passion for empowering people in regional areas. 

If this sounds like you, then you might be our ideal candidate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Experience in complex case management
  • Knowledge of the NDIS
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

To really stand out from the crowd and knock our socks off, you will also have one or more of the following:

  • Registered allied health professional or qualifications in a relevant field
  • Experience working or lived experience with individuals with disability
  • Existing experience as a Support Coordinator or similar role

An ability to build strong networks and rapport with a wide range of people will be vital to success in this role.

Employment Criteria

  1. Current Australian drivers’ license
  2. Ability to obtain a WA Working with Children Check
  3. Ability to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check
  4. Covid-19 Digital certificate
  5. Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance
  6. Completion of 100-point identification check
