Provide wellbeing support to people with mental illness in the community
SCHADS Level 4 – base hourly rate $37.54 – 40.39 plus super & salary packaging 
Full time hours
Contract position to 30/06/2023


About You
Are you motivated to improve the lives of those living with mental illness? Can you support others positively to achieve desired outcomes?
Additional attributes we are looking for include:

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Allied Health, Social Work, OT, Mental Health qualification (or be actively studying)
  • Previous experience in outreach work, Mental Health & AOD (professional, volunteer, lived experience)
  • The ability to effectively and quickly build rapport with people
  • Flexibility, patience, initiative and emotional resilience
  • Effective listening skills & an adaptable communication style
  • Contribute positively within a team and work autonomously

It is a requirement of this position to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet all compliance requirements in relation to NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children’s Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s license.


About the Role
Ermha365 will be part of a government initiative to provide a Pop-Up mental health and wellbeing service in the Barwon region for people with emerging or existing mental ill health. It will also ensure people with new and ongoing mental health needs get the support they need. This program will offer a range of wellbeing supports.  Wellbeing Coaches will ensure that a strong and consistent culture of ‘how can we help?’, is maintained and that support is provided in a way that best suits the individual whether one to one or group activities (either can be delivered in person or via telehealth – whatever suits best. 


The Wellbeing Coach role will provide wellbeing coaching, wellbeing checks, emotional support and practical assistance to address pressing needs for people who feel distressed and overwhelmed by the pandemic.
This will be achieved by:

  • Outreach support and facilitation of group supports across the Barwon region
  • Supporting people to develop recovery goals and implement steps to achieve set goals
  • Providing person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally appropriate wellbeing and recovery focused Support to people, utilising coaching principles


Typical working hours are 8am to 4pm (with flexibility to work during the hours of 8am and 8pm depending on the needs of the people we are supporting)
While ermha365 continues to operate face-to-face services through COVID-19 we are taking appropriate actions to ensure that our staff and the people we support are as safe as possible. You will be expected to adhere to all COVID-19 standards, requirements and processes including (but not limited to) wearing appropriate PPE and regular hygiene and cleanliness practices.
