Remuneration: $88,578 (0.3 pro-rata) + superannuation

We are currently seeking an experienced Vocational Counsellor to join our Corrections Education team at the Port Phillip Prison campus. This is an essential role that contributes to the education and rehabilitation of men at the facility.
This Vocational Counsellor provides specialist vocational assessment services resulting in the development of a learning and employment plan. The plan includes post release employment pathways as well as vocational training opportunities delivered on site. It is a highly collaborative and rewarding role.
A post-graduate qualification that meets membership standards of the Career Industry Council of Australia is mandatory for this role. However, a suitably experienced person is eligible for employment if they agree to obtain a recognised qualification once employed.
Corrections roles are well supported and resourced within the Bendigo Kangan Institute. There is an experienced vocational education delivery team located at the Port Phillip campus with students willing to be engaged
- Mandatory post-graduate qualification that meets the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) standards for professional membership
- Successful applicants will also have to provide a current Working with Children Check and Federal Police Check
- Full COIVD 19 vaccination is a requirement for working in a correctional facility
