Are you looking for a fulfilling career helping others? Change lives and positively impact members of the community from all walks of life by becoming a counsellor!
If you’ve got the passion to start a Counselling career, gain the skills and experience to support individuals through life’s challenges with the right training.
Study a Nationally Recognised Qualification in Counselling with one of our trusted training providers. Study online at your own pace and graduate as a qualified counsellor, ready to support clients.
Currently, there is no single counselling authority in Australia, which is where Certified Practising Counsellors Australia comes in – While you can register with multiple industry bodies, there is no government appointed body for Counsellors. When you enrol with one of our trusted learning providers, you gain complimentary membership to CPCA who can assist with advocacy, counselling resources, and welcome you to a larger community of peers.
CPCA welcomes individual and corporate members as we develop and grow together.
If you’re studying or already practicing as a Counsellor, join CPCA today to get access to organisational news, resources, and benefits like professional indemnity insurance.
As you can see, despite our request to be engaged in the consultation phase, the CPCA was not consulted. It appears there is a concerted effort to create a peak body and to disenfranchise people who are not members of that body. Further, there is a clear push to make registration compulsory and thus to remove the rights of counsellors who qualify by virtue of diploma and practice.
