  • Full-time position (76 Fortnightly Hours). Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2023.
  • $89,275 per annum pro rata + Super + Leave Loading + Salary Packaging
  • Located in Marion

Post Care Support Service provides information, advocacy, case management and counselling to support people who have lived in out-of-home care and/or placed under the Guardianship of the Minister in South Australia as a child for more than six months.

The Senior Case Manager/Counsellor responds to the needs of young people and adults who have lived in care (out-of-home-care) in South Australia for a period of six months or more. The Senior Case Manager/Counsellor delivers the service through case management, counselling, referral and advocacy within a collaborative case management framework. The position works collaboratively with the Team Leader to provide leadership support and expertise to Case Managers and Support Workers within the program. The position also works collaboratively with other Trauma Services such as Find & Connect and the Redress Support Services, Disability Royal Commission and RASA programs as well as other non-government and government services.

Position Description

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (AQF Level 7) in Social Work or demonstrated knowledge and competencies appropriate to Social Work.
  • Extensive experience working with complex client matters.
  • Experience working with in the community services.
  • Experience in delivering trauma informed practice.
  • A Working with Children Check is essential and employment is not able to commence without a current clearance.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working with clients who have experienced care/ Out-of-Home-Care.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in developing and delivering group activities including group therapy.
