Client Details
You will have full support from the experienced Director and team of allied health and support coordinators. You will also be supported by team members with a structured training schedule and a thorough induction which will assist you in your new role. Work-life balance is encouraged with this amazing organisation and you will be valued as an individual Behaviour Support Practitioner. You will be working with a varied caseload of disability clientele and it will be self-managed. Providing clinical services to clients with a minimum of 3 clients per day, you will work with clients through the NDIS process which is a very rewarding and gratifying experience.
Description
Working with a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals you will have support and mentoring to grow your career within healthcare. The team comprises of OTs, Psychologists, and Support Coordinators. You will be the pivotal professional for quality care and support for disability clients. All clients are within community environments and their own homes therefore a drivers licence is essential in this position. Your responsibility will be to implement proactive methods of Behaviour Support Practitioner services.
Profile
- Ideally relevant background in Behaviour Support
- Previous experience in working with adults and adolescents with developmental and communication difficulties and delays is highly regarded
- You will possess a valid Police Certificate or the ability to obtain (valid within the last 12 months)
- Driver’s licence and have your own vehicle
- Current First Aid certificate and CPR
- WWCC
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
