• Penrith, Blue Mountains or Blacktown Areas
• 35 Hours Temporary Contract (end date 30 June 2023)
• Pay range for Level 4 Paypoint 1 $74,165 to Paypoint 4 $79,807 plus 10% superannuation and Salary Sacrifice offered

AGENCY OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE POSITION
DV West has been successful in receiving funding to employ Children’s Specialist Domestic Violence workers. This means we need to backfill some of our existing Domestic Violence Specialist positions across our services in the Penrith, Blue Mountains or Blacktown areas between until 30 June 2023.
We are seeking workers who are skilled in providing specialist support and collaborative case management to women and their child(ren) who are survivors of domestic violence. The successful applicants will be willing to attend further training in using a domestic violence informed, trauma-informed and strength-based approach in their work
 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Ability to work with Aboriginal and CALD women and children in a culturally sensitive way
• Understanding the drivers and gendered nature of violence against women
• Proven experience/ ability to provide case management providing direct support, assistance and advocacy for women and children
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, other services, and government agencies
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
• Availability to participate on an on-call roster
• Current NSW drivers’ licence
 

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• Current first aid certificate

EMPLOYMENT AS PER SCHADS AWARD
Based on 35 hours week pay range for Level 4 Paypoint 1 $74,165 to Paypoint 4 $79,807 plus 10% superannuation and Salary Sacrifice offered.
 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Confirmation of employment will be subject to candidate’s possession of a Current Australian Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check, completed Australian Criminal History Check and provision of COVID-19 vaccination certificate, in line with the DV West COVID Business Continuity Plan, or valid medical exemption, to comply with DV West’s Work Health and Safety requirements
