  • Mental Health Practitioner (belonging to a registration body)
    • Registered Psychologist – Provisionals welcome to apply (AHPRA, APS, AAPI)
    • Counsellor (ACA, PACFA)
    • Mental Health Social Worker (AASW) 
    • Occupational Therapist (AHPRA) 
    • Play Therapists (APTA)
    • Art Therapists (ATCB, ANZACTA)

… with interests in working with neurodivergent clients across the lifespan

  • Training in EMDR and/or play therapy is highly desirable but not essential

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Work with clients across the lifespan providing both therapy and conducting diagnostic assessments whilst adopting a neuro affirming framework.
  • Your typical day will consist of a daily team stand up meeting to set the goals for the day and keep each other accountable to meeting them.
  • You will work in a therapeutic and assessment capacity offering best practice neuro-affirmative therapies and assessments (e.g. using ACT, EMDR, Compassion-Focused therapy & other trauma informed approaches)
  • Create treatment plans and execute these independently and with supervision when required
  • Advocate and educate our clients about the neuro-affirmative model and why this is important to the well-being of neurodivergent people
  • Proactive in gathering feedback informed treatment utilizing objective and subjective ratings to deliver superior clinical outcomes for our clients
  • Adopt a trauma informed approach with all clients communicating empathy and compassion
