About the role

As the Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Practitioner, you will join our team of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners, to apply your skills and experience to provide effective FDR to families by assisting to resolve issues in dispute such as parenting arrangements and property settlements. Reporting to the Senior Manager Kew, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments and mediation, group work (as required) and providing information, support, and referral to match presenting needs to services and programs.

This position is based at our Kew centre and is a permanent position. Initially, the position will be part-time working three (3) days per week for the first 6 months and will increase to four (4) days in May 2023. There is a requirement for the successful candidate to work an evening shift (Tuesday or Thursday) each week to deliver services to meet the community needs.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, social work, law or psychology;
  • Successful completion of the Vocational Graduate Diploma in Dispute Resolution;
  • Demonstrated previous experience as a family dispute resolution practitioner;
  • Registration as an FDRP under the Accreditation Rules or on the Register of FDRP maintained by the Attorney-General’s Department for eligibility immediately; and
  • Experience or training in property as well as willingness to undertake training.

A competitive salary package with a base salary range pro-rata of $95k to $102k (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation, and access to salary packaging.
