We are looking for an Aboriginal AOD Support Worker to join our team at AWAHS.

  • You will be engaging and assessing, supporting and caring for individuals and their families 
  • If you have knowledge of AOD service streams, Intake and Assessment, Counselling, Care Coordination, Non-Residential and Residential Withdrawal, Residential Rehabilitation this will be useful

What you will need:

  • Experience in the Drug & Alcohol (AOD) sector
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organisational and time management skills, including the ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Experience in the provision of assessment and treatment services
  • Extensive experience and/or qualifications relevant to the role
  • Understanding of the current health issues relevant to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Proof of aboriginality
