The role:

Provide Positive Behaviour Supports (PBS):

  • Provide specialist behaviour supports, prepare interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans, carry out expert functional behaviour analyses, and manage NDIS requirements.
  • Manage cases/clients allocated, including ensuring hours available are well planned and utilised, assessing and prioritising needs and supports, assisting clients in obtaining additional hours where clinically indicated, ensuring all tasks are planned and delivered in a timely manner, and maintaining good communication level with clients and stakeholders.
  • Plan and carry out comprehensive behaviour assessments, including clinical interviews, collecting and analysing data, psychometric administration, and observation/interaction sessions.
  • Provide behaviour support planning, including in the development of strategies, running sessions to test and refine strategies, and writing behaviour support plans or other behavioural reports.
  • Plan and implement strategies outlined in support plans and reports, including providing training and consultation to client and core support team, and making materials for the implementation.
  • Take a multi-component approach to PBS and provide management of stakeholders involved in cases,
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review effectiveness of strategies, including planning and preparing ongoing data collection from users of the support strategies, analysing and reviewing ongoing information received, refining and implementing updated strategies, and updating written documents.
  • Prepare comprehensive behavioural intervention and therapy plans, that can be implemented by a junior staff member
  • Oversee implementation of behavioural intervention and therapy plans, while retaining main responsibilities for case management.

Requirements:

  • Driver’s licence with no restrictions
  • Registration through APHRA or relevant body
  • Own car with active registration and appropriately insured
  • Own laptop with adequate security systems in place
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
  • Double covid vaccination
