About the role:
We are recruiting for a Full Time (Mon-Fri) Primary therapist to join our dynamic inpatient therapy team.
- Facilitate daily trauma-informed group therapy for clients presenting with addictive processes and co-occurring mental health issues
- Facilitate lectures, groups and workshops as per program schedule
- Provide comprehensive and professional trauma-informed case management to a delegated case-load of inpatient clients
- Support a positive treatment experience for all clients by role modelling functional adult behavior
Extensive training will be provided for suitable applicant
Essential Criteria:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / Counselling or Graduate Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience including group therapy facilitation
- Registered with an appropriate Counselling/Psychotherapy/Psychology body
- Experience and understanding of Addiction
- Experience in trauma-informed practice and delivery
- Excellent communication skills
- Independent worker with a team focus
- NSW National Police Check
- Working with Children Check.
- CPR and First Aid Certificate
Desirable Criteria:
- 12 Step knowledge and/or lived experience
