The Family Group Worker provides support to the Children’s Services Team Leader North to achieve Communities for Children objectives including specialist parenting groups and therapeutic child and youth activities within the Northern region of Adelaide. They design, develop and deliver parenting and early childhood therapeutic group programs, including delivering manualised parenting and children programs. The Family Worker is responsible for the collection of and reporting on data relevant to each activity and ensuring families receive appropriate information and referral.
Essential Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification (AQF level 7) in social work, psychology or counselling.
- Experience in delivering group programs to adults, young people and children
- Experience with working in the community services industry.
- A Working with Children Check is essential and employment is not able to commence without a current clearance.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in developing therapeutic group programs
