The School is seeking applications from dynamic, passionate and committed educators for this full-time, fixed-term position for Semester 1, 2023.
The Career Counsellor works with students to identify their career pathways, providing counselling advice and ongoing support. The role co-ordinates partnerships with business, training organisations and community groups to support students’ transition to post-secondary education and employment.
This position requires a committed educator that can teach Career and Enterprise General (Year 11) and Health and Wellbeing – Career Development (Year 10). In addition, the successful applicant will have a good understanding of Workplace Learning (INSTEP), a thorough appreciation of local, interstate and overseas universities, university applications, scholarships, residential colleges and experience in guiding students in post school decision-making.
It is an expectation of the School that all members of staff contribute to the co-curricular program in a way that balances the needs of the School and the successful applicant’s talents and interests.
