Regional Manager – Positive Behaviour Support The ORS Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

The ORS Positive Behaviour Support division is expanding and we are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to lead and support a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and Team Leaders in Broadmeadow. You will be responsible for providing day to day clinical support and guidance, driving quality and performance, report reviewing, and maintaining strong employee morale and retention. An important part of this role will be working with individuals in your team on their learning and career goals to ensure that everyone who works at ORS can reach their fullest potential.

ORS employs over 500 people around Australia, with more than 260 in the behaviour support division. This role will form part of the senior leadership team in Behaviour Support, and will report directly to the State Manager. Your responsibilities as a Regional Manager will include:

  • Supporting a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners with day to day service delivery and clinical guidance, answering questions and assisting with strategies on complex cases
  • Delivering training, induction and supervision as required
  • Completing quality assurance report reviews and feedback
  • Attending appointments with consultants, to provide support and training
  • Completing high-quality clinical services and assessments as required in complex cases
  • Developing exceptionally well-written reports, management and positive behaviour support plans that incorporate useful and cutting edge strategies and interventions
  • Driving growth and market share in your region
  • Consulting and providing positive behavioural support services to people with disability and their service providers/families, in line with an individual’s NDIS plan and goals.
  • Provide services across different environments including homes, schools, community programs, workplaces, telehealth and/or ORS offices
  • Liaise and network with other allied health professionals and support workers to achieve positive client outcomes through a holistic and supportive approach
  • Provide support and guidance to other staff regarding identification, authorisation and reporting of restrictive practices

Learning and Development

That is why we have a team of Learning and Development Managers on staff who all possess many years clinical experience in all area’s of Psychology, extensive background in university lecturing, and impressive qualifications. You will be able to connect with these experts in one on one and group training sessions, plus have the ability to pick up the phone at any time to ask their advice. 

A few requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Behaviour Support (desirable).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership position within an allied health organisation (desirable).
  • A Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences or Criminology qualification.
  • Registration, or ability to become registered, with accreditation body (as relevant).
  • NDIS registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (or the ability to become registered).
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
  • Experience using CBT, DBT, person-centred and trauma-informed approaches and behaviour assessments.
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance and Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
