Family Coach – Early Help Family Services Junction Support Services

We currently have new innovative and rewarding Family Coach – Early Help Family Services positions available, as a part of the Ovens and Murray Early Help Family Services Program. 

The program (EHFS) is a partnership between Junction, the Australian Childhood Foundation and universal services which delivers an integrated suite of services aimed at providing early help to families, supporting children’s wellbeing, promoting parent-child attachment through individualised, flexible and therapeutic service delivery. 

If you have a passion for working with families in an early intervention approach and want to be part of services aimed at promoting parent-child attachment, providing early help to families and supporting children’s wellbeing and development so they can thrive, then this is the opportunity for you. 

Working with families, schools, maternal child health nurses, local council, community centres and the Australian Childhood Foundation you will be making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives. 

This position will sit within our Families & Children’s Specialist Services team which pride themselves on being supportive, passionate, and a high functioning professional team.  

This position is fixed term until 30 June 2023.

  • We have recently added a therapy dog, Toast the Labrador, to our team at Junction. Toast is still in training however is already a much-loved team member and a great addition to our therapeutic offerings at Junction.

About You: 

  • A tertiary qualification in Early Years, Social work, Psychology, Education or other related Behavioural Sciences at degree level or extensive relevant experience.
  • An understanding of the developmental needs of children, with an ability to apply this knowledge effectively when providing support to families (individually or as group work).
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide high level collaborative work practices with families, schools, Early Childhood Education Centres (ECEC) and other relevant service providers.
  • High level organisational skills, the ability to work autonomously and self-manage in the context of varied and complex competing priorities.
