About the Role

Our Positive Behaviour Support team have new opportunities for experienced and passionate Behaviour Support (Core) Practitioners to join our leading multi-disciplinary team and provide positive behaviour supports to individuals on the autism spectrum across the lifespan. 

*Our Behaviour Support Practitioners must be suitably registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission to provide behaviour support. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting functional behavioural assessments and working collaboratively with stakeholders & professionals to develop, implement, monitor and review individualised positive behaviour support plans for clients on the spectrum in accordance with NDIS restrictive practice legislation & guidelines.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Education, or other relevant field (including professional registration/membership)
  • Ability to practice at a Core Level against the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice regarding the delivery of positive behaviour support within diverse environments, including home, school and community
  • Case Management skills including establishing effective helping relationships, conducting assessments, developing intervention plans & working together with clients to provide support and meet identified needs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, parents, professionals and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain work quality and performance during tight schedules

Special Conditions

  • Evidence of current Covid-19 Vaccination
  • **NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & WWCC Blue Card (paid workers)
  • Provide First Aid inc. Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate
