Counsellor International Health and Medical Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

IHMS is currently seeking an experienced Counsellor to assist us in our facility located on Christmas Island.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering counselling services to persons in detention through assessment, case formulation and case management, structured interview techniques and therapeutic interventions.

 

Essential:

  • 3 years proven experience in the delivery of counselling services, case management and case coordination in mental health setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
