Practice Development Officer – Domestic Family Violence Beaumont People

JOB DESCRIPTION

Join this peak body organisation and lead a workforce capacity building project across the NSW Men’s Behaviour Change Network (MBCN). 

  • Remote Work From Home Role – preferably NSW based

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role involves strengthening the capacity within the sector to meet demands on Men’s Behaviour Change Network services. You will lead this project and consult with key stakeholders to:

  • Support the growth of the MBCN and expansion of state-wide programs
  • Set up and facilitate forums to key stakeholders and members
  • Identify service needs regarding practice development 
  • Support in the upskilling of existing MBCP practitioners 
  • Provide advice and mentorship regarding recruitment and retention of staff 
  • Prepare briefings and reports to NSW management team
  • Develop a model for COmunity of Practice for practitioners 
  • Contribute to practice development priorities in consultation with members and key stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualification in social work, psychology, or relevant discipline or experience within the male family violence sector 
  • Experience in clinical practice within the specialist family violence sector 
  • Comprehensive understanding of impacts of family violence and intervention or prevention initiatives 
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills
  • Professional and ethical approach and high level of experience handling sensitive and confidential information
