Family Case Manager The Salvation Army

JOB DESCRIPTION

Why this role matters
As a Family Case Manage you will supervise court ordered changeovers of children with separated parents. You will facilitate supervised visits of parents and children according to Family Court Order, Mediation or Parenting Plan developing a case plan and provide case management for each family.

This role will be Sunday to Wednesday 9am – 5pm.

The role you could play

  • Manage a suitable case load of families referred to the program
  • Complete client phone assessments, intake meetings and child familiarisation sessions
  • Develop a case plan in conjunction with the Family Court and lawyers for each family
  • Supervise contact visits and handovers to ensure safety and security for all parties
  • Facilitate activities that maximise positive parent-child interaction
  • Work to support the strengthening of child-parent relationship by parental education and behaviour interventions
  • Work within a child-focussed framework and make observations that are reflected in case notes/reports

What you will bring

  • Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Community Services or similar area of study
  • Experience of working with families or children
  • A current and valid Working with Children’s Check or equivalent is required
  • Will require work on Sundays
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
