About your new role
  
As a Rehabilitation Counsellor/Consultant you will manage a portfolio of clients with a psychological disorder, creating and monitoring rehabilitation plans and aim to gradually help your clients return to work. 
  
You will develop the skills needed to conduct motivational interviews, as well as influencing stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.

Within your new role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with a psychological or physical injury
  • Complete initial assessments and identify suitable goals
  • Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work
  • Organise appropriate intervention with stakeholders 
  • Providing vocational counselling 
  • Conduct vocational assessments
  • Attend medical appointments with your clients 
  • Complete reports after assessments and meetings 
  • Communicate with various stakeholders your clients progress
  • Facilitate a safe and timely gradual return to work plan
  • Document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements

 About You

  • Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • 4th year Psychology Graduate
  • Experience in a similar role highly regarded
  • Car and valid Driver’s license
  • Police check or willingness to obtain a police check prior to commencement
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
