The Senior Clinical Team Leader manages a multidisciplinary team of practitioners at our Marrickville Site in Sydney. The team currently includes adolescent and family counselling, sexual assault counselling, adolescent and family case management and a young parents’ program. This is a multi-disciplinary role with a focus on integrated service delivery.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Manage the NSW Safety & Resilience team to deliver against agreed goals, strategies and operational outcomes consistent with Good Shepherd’s mission, strategic plan and relevant partner and funding agreements
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of adolescent and family counsellors, sexual assault counsellors, adolescent and family case managers and a young parents program.
- Effectively manage the team to deliver group work to clients, understanding and providing consultation on theoretical models and skills necessary for work with diverse groups in a range of settings and contexts, including group dynamics, psycho–education groups, concepts of group care, counselling groups, principles for effective team work and solution focussed group work.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective corporate, government, non-government and community-based partnerships, and stakeholder relationships that enhance service delivery
About you:
- Demonstrated extensive experience conducting discipline specific trauma and developmentally informed clinical assessments with children and young people
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including the provision of coaching, mentoring, supervision, team building, monitoring of workload and managing performance
- Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to risk from a client, employee, and organisational perspective.
- Ability to manage, monitor and deliver all services within agreed budget, in addition to accurate and timely reporting.
- Formal qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or related discipline
- Proof of the right to work in Australia
- Current NSW Driver’s License
- A satisfactory National Police Check
- A satisfactory International Police Check (if you have resided outside of Australia within the last 5 years)
- A current Employee Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or state equivalent
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination, or medical exemption
