JOB DESCRIPTION

Australian International Academy of Education Inc. (AIAE Inc./ AIA) established in 1983 is an independent, progressive, co-educational school with 4 campuses in Melbourne. The Academy offers the (IB) International Baccalaureate programmes and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). AIAE provides students with opportunities to excel academically, to grow in leadership, sporting achievements, arts, performing arts and other extra-curricular programs. The Roles

We are actively seeking a full-time School Psychologist to join the School in an ongoing role that offers a competitive salary and a generous school holiday leave arrangement. 

The School Psychologist will provide psychological services to students and families at our Campus in Coburg. 

The responsibilities will include undertaking educational and psychological assessments and diagnoses in all areas of child and adolescent development. Providing psychological counselling, therapy and programs for individual students from Year 6 to Year 12 as well as student groups for a range of mental health, emotional and family issues.

 

About you

  • You will hold a post graduate qualifications in psychology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Have full registration (or close to obtaining full registration)  with the Psychology Board of Australia which under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Be able to demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to consult, counsel and liaise with a wide range of people from culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively monitor and coordinate a workload that may consist of multiple tasks of varying priorities
