Lead Clinician of Specialised Services  

We are seeking a Lead Clinician of Specialised Services, a motivated professional individual to be a valued member of our Quality team. Reporting directly to the Quality & Safeguarding Manager and working with other senior leaders to develop and implement UDC strategic and operational business direction and plans.

The role requires you to lead the clinical governance that directly supports our service delivery and behaviour support outcomes for our clients. The role will be responsible for the management of the UDC Clinical Services team and Support Coordination Team, assisted by the Senior Supports Coordinator. You will be required to work closely with the General Manager of Service Delivery and Quality and Safeguarding Manager to deliver, guide and direct best practice and supports and working collaboratively with external stake holders and governing the bodies to maintain our compliance to all external governance in relation to clinical, behaviours and restricted practices. The role also has a requirement to manage a small caseload of Behaviour Support Clients.

Whilst this position is based in our Robina office, some local and interstate travel may be required from time to time.

  Experience required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Applied Behaviour Tertiary qualifications in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis or relevant allied health field.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in positive behaviour programming with people with intellectual disability, autism, brain injury and/or learning difficulties
  • Significant experience in relevant clinical practice and leading clinical practice excellence
  • Knowledge of issues around people with dual diagnoses, including mental health issues
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to legislative requirements affecting service delivery (e.g. NDIS Quality and Safeguards, OHS, Guardianship etc.).
  • Understanding of logistical, ethical and human rights issues affecting people with disability and their significant others;
  • Previous experience of clinical supervision
  • Previous experience of managing others in a fast paced, target driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills

Essential requirements:

  • Current Drivers License
  • Current First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Experience in NDIS Behaviour Support Framework
  • Approved NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Commissioner status
  • Current working with children Blue Card or ability to obtain.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field
  • AHPRA registration
