The Social Gym is a Speech Pathology service for teenagers and young adults with a focus on social engagement and interaction. Our new clinic is purpose built to provide teenagers with a young, fun space to connect and build their social network. We have strong relationships with a number of schools in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and North Shore and also have a growing young adult network. We are passionate about empowering young people to develop independence and connect with the social world around them.
About the role:
You will be working with teenagers and young adults on their individual goals with a large focus on social skills and interaction. This will include:
- Collaborating with and empowering teenagers, young adults and their support networks to develop individual goals that are realistic, relevant and motivating to improve their independence and connection with others
- Delivering high quality Speech Pathology services in school and community settings with a focus on social engagement and connection
- Run engaging and innovative Social Groups and Holiday Programs for school aged students and young adults
