The Position

St John of God Health Care is one of the largest private providers of health care services in Australia, employing more than 16,000 employees (caregivers). We operate 27 hospitals and services comprising more than 3,500 hospital beds, including home nursing, disability services and social outreach programs.

St John of God Social Outreach Services build capacity and support the physical, mental and emotional wellness of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. We provide community-based care in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Timor-Leste.

Our Raphael Service provides free specialised mental health services to parents and families in the perinatal and infancy stages up to a child?s fourth birthday. The service is based in the community and provided at no cost to clients.

We currently have opportunities available for enthusiastic and motivated Mental Health Clinicians (Social Worker & Mental Health Occupational Therapist) to join our multidisciplinary team in Midland, Cockburn, Wembley and Mandurah.

Experience working with parents, experiencing psychological, social and psychiatric problems during the perinatal period will be highly regarded.

We are offering flexibility with negotiable working hours of part time (job share available) or full time (working 76 hours per fortnight) positions available.  

 

The successful candidates will have:

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Relevant registration, qualification or membership
  • Experience and ability to provide a range of psychotherapeutic interventions to individuals, families and groups.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Eligible for a Medicare provider number.
