Care Mode Allied Health is expanding, and we are seeking our next clinician to join the team! You will join a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals providing quality clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65. Your work will span across early intervention, school age, adolescent, and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses, and disability types.

You will have the opportunity to work with an amazing group of clients and will play an integral part in their personal growth and development, as you work together to meet their goals. You will be required to work with allied health practitioners, support workers, carers, and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. You will assess and observe participants challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and assessments focus on increasing a person’s quality of life including improving their skills and enhancing their independence. You will develop a plan and implement with training and regular follow-up and review

The Role:

  • Creating high-quality progress notes and reports for participants
  • Develop quality early intervention strategies
  • Undertake assessments and provide intervention, liaising with families, teachers & other relevant stakeholders
  • The interventions will be carried out in the client’s homes
  • Interventions will have a focus on evidence-based practice and can be carried out one-on-one or in a group
  • Providing treatment, guidance, and education to individuals and their carers
  • Managing a caseload of participants and designing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans to work towards achieving participant outcomes.
  • Provide both individual and group behaviour support training/intervention programs to achieve maximum independence and participation in activities appropriate to the client’s developmental level

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Work or related discipline
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered)
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
  • Good written and verbal communication with the ability to build rapport with clients and families to ensure that therapy is fun and engaging
  • Ability to work independently
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current driver’s license and your own vehicle
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check (NDIS Check)
