What You Will Be Doing

The Safety and Support Hub Practitioner – Men’s is a valued member of the Family Violence Program and works within the State-funded Integrated Response to Family Violence along with other funded agencies in a collaborative and integrated way. The Practitioner responds to the identified need to enhance safety of women and children in our community by working with men who perpetrate family violence. This position will be based within the Men’s team at the Bayside Peninsula Support and Safety Hub/Access Point, based in Hastings

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

•Tertiary Qualification in Social Work/Psychology/Social Science or related fields
•Qualifications must align with the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Recommendation 209)
•Psychologists: Full registration with AHPRA
•Social Workers: Registration or eligible for registration with AASW with demonstrated positive outcomes in supervision and consultation.
•A minimum 2 years family violence experience and/or child wellbeing work
•Demonstrated Case Management experience and skills i.e. demonstrated expertise in psycho-social assessment with diverse clients.
•Well developed skills in working with complex clients including defusing, self-management and reflective practice.
•Well-developed interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively in all professional relationships
