JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

The Team Leader Early Help will prioritise the delivery of evidenced-based Early Help programs inclusive of PBR, Parenting Education (Group program and One on One delivery of parenting education) and Baby College.

The key objectives of this role are to:

  • Oversee the delivery of a suite of evidenced-based parenting education programs, in line with BCYF’s annual plan and identify gaps and opportunities within BCYF and the community.
  • Schedule and produce a term-by-term parenting education calendar in partnership with Stakeholders in the local region.
  • Manage the supervision of facilitators to ensure that the delivery of parenting education continues to be evidenced-based, high quality and up to date.
  • Ability to facilitate parenting education group programs and deliver parenting education one on one where required.
  • Collaborate with relevant partners and networks to ensure the promotion and delivery of evidence-based parenting education programs.

  • $105,103 p/a (pro rata) + super + salary packaging

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Welfare Studies or relevant field.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in the delivery of a high standard of case practice and therapeutic interventions including the delivery and management of parent education programs, counselling and family support, strong client advocacy in the child and family services sector.
  • Highly developed planning and analytical skills in relation to program development including an understanding of and ability to implement review mechanisms.
  • Capacity to provide positive leadership with a focus on support, accountability, and experience in effective people management within a complex service delivery environment.
  • Understanding of the purpose and expectations of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation in both practice and culture.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including report writing to ensure program compliance, public speaking, and stakeholder management.
