Central Coast Local Health District is seeking experienced Youth Access Team (YAT) Workers for headspace at Gateway Gosford, Lake Haven & Wyong. If managing multiple demands in a high volume service is something you thrive on, this is the position for you..

What you’ll be doing
The YAT worker will conduct initial screening assessments, provide brief interventions, triage and facilitate referral to support services for a range of young people 12-25 years, including those who may be ‘at risk’ or experiencing mental health problems or mental illness and/or drug and alcohol problems.
The YAT worker will liaise closely with mental health professionals from CYPMH, Adult Mental Health Services and co-located partners, to determine the appropriate clinical pathway or referral for young people who access headspace Gosford and Lake Haven services. Other tasks include acting as a first point of contact for young people and their families, engaging and liaising with GPs and Allied Health Professionals, collection of client minimum data set and data entry. YAT may also be required to work from outreach locations. A current Drivers Licence & willingness to travel within the District is needed.
