Early Autism Services (EAS) is an established provider of home-based  (and soon-to-be clinic) ABA (applied behaviour analytic) therapy with over ten years of experience implementing high-quality behavioural programming worldwide. Our Australian team is currently growing at a rapid pace as our efforts to both expand the field of ABA as well as diversify our services within Australia continue.

The Role

Reporting to the Area State Manager of Behaviour Services, the Behaviour Services Branch Manager will lead the ABA team in their designated region to provide best practice behavioural services that align with a positive behaviour support framework to clients with autism and associated disorders. 

The Behaviour Services Branch Manager will ensure their exceptional clinical skills are utilised to make a difference in the lives of our clients and foster the development of team members. 

The Branch Manager will also be involved in program development and improvement processes, setting department goals and assessing risk, as well as ensuring key deliverables are met. 

The Branch Manager will also have supervisory, training and mentoring responsibilities to ensure team members are supported and upskilled to provide high-quality services to clients.

As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following: 

• Administer relevant standardised assessments and/or functional behaviour assessments and generate associated reports by using clinical observations and analysis of assessment findings, along with collaboration with families, to formulate appropriate intervention goals.
• Implementation of appropriate intervention strategies and ensuring relevant training is provided to parents and other key stakeholders.
• The delivery of best-practice and high-quality programs through providing
  consultation and in-session support to the consultants and behaviour technicians as required.
• Providing support to consultants and behaviour technicians where clients present with significant problem behaviours. 
• Collaborate with other senior leaders within the behaviour services team to organise and facilitate regular discipline-specific meetings and group supervision sessions to continue to provide ongoing training and internal professional development opportunities to the team. 
• Develop and facilitate education and training sessions with key stakeholders to broaden community knowledge of behavioural interventions and how to incorporate strategies into environments such as education centres.
• Develop discipline-specific training modules for the EAS multidisciplinary team to enhance transdisciplinary practice.

What do you bring?

• Certification by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board.
• A minimum of five (5) years of recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders (or other developmental disabilities) and their families.
• A Master’s degree in special education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioural health and treatment philosophies and professional practices.
• Strong knowledge and utilization of effective generalisation techniques (such as Natural Environment Teaching and Incidental Teaching).
• Strong knowledge in positive behaviour support, restrictive practices and trauma-informed practice and ensure team members consider these
  areas when designing ABA programs.
• Strong knowledge of neurodiverse-affirming practices and perspectives.
• Strong knowledge of current methods and techniques of applied behaviour analysis; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, parents, and professionals; competence in analysing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavioural programs, and monitoring progress.
