On behalf of a reputable and well established Disability Service Provider and Team Leader to support delivery including mentoring your team and ensuring services are delivered to NDIS participants according to best clinical practice. The Behaviour Support provided to clients is focused on supporting and training to people with disability and their support networks to improve their wellbeing, quality of life and reduce challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of up to four Practitioners
- Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with clients
- Mentoring a small team and ensuring Behaviour Support is delivered to NDIS participants
- Work with the team to meet output targets whilst ensuring best practice
- Establish and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships
- Developing partnerships with service providers, community agencies and
government bodies to get the best outcome for our participants
About You
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Speech and Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy or similar areas of Social and Behavioural Sciences
- In depth understanding of good clinical practice including for people subject to restrictive interventions
- Strong leadership skills in the human services sector including disability, health, family support or another similar service area
- Commitment to the highest possible quality on providing positive behaviour support and the ability to communicate that to your team
- Eligibility for professional membership in a field relevant to your qualifications
- Australian/NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa with permission to work
- A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker’s Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- A current and valid Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to undertake a “Fit2Work” Police Check
- Proof of Covid Vaccination including booster.
