JOB DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity: Canterbury College is currently seeking a Student Counsellor for a part-time contract position commencing upon negotiation, completing March 2023 with a possibility of extension.  This role, operating as part of the Care Central Team providing a wide range of support services to the full range of students, teachers, parents and non-teaching professionals of the school.  

About You: Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities, qualifications, and experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in guidance and counselling.
  • Demonstrated competence and capacity to develop and implement counselling programs in a P-12 College.
  • Ability to be registered with ACA or PACFA.
  • Demonstrated competence and capacity to develop effective relationships and partnerships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
  • Demonstrated competence and capacity to interpret psycho- educational reports and collaboratively develop appropriate interventions to optimise student learning.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Christian values, the Anglican Ethos and the broader life of a College or school.
