About us

The Shine Centre is passionate about offering Allied Health and Disability services to people in regional communities. We offer Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Behaviour Support, Psychology, Therapy Assistants and Support Coordination. We primarily service children (paediatrics) but will service adults on a case-by-case basis. The Shine Centre has clinics in Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat. Both clinics have onsite parking! The Shine Centre values work life balance and wants to ensure that you are well cared for so you can care for others!

Qualifications & experience

  • Must have experience as behaviour support practitioner or
  • Hold other allied health credentials (Psychology (Bachelors/Masters/Provisional), OT, Speech, etc)
  • BCBA candidates or undergoing BCBA qualifications are ideal but not required.
  • Must have experience working with children and knowledge of Autism, Intellectual Disability and/or experience working in disability.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Develop interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS Guidelines
  • Provide trainings to parents/carers, support workers, educators regarding the implementation of the behaviour support plan
  • Provide 1:1 sessions with participants to help them reach their behaviour support goals
  • Feel confident administering functional behaviour assessments
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in our Bacchus Marsh Clinic
  • Have fun and enjoy making a difference in the lives of children!
