Come and join our Client’s growing team as a Behaviour Support Practitionerpart time or full time member !

Our Client provides clinic, outreach and telehealth-based services mainly in the areas of Behaviour Therapy. Our Client provides a warm and friendly environment where we enjoy celebrating every achievement and support our clients in each moment. 

Our Client is seeking Multiple Behaviour Therapists to commence in Oct/Nov 2022. These positions are suited for experienced Behaviour Therapists or new graduates with previous experience with a background in psychology, social work, counselling or similar discipline

Our client’s ideal candidate will have the following:

  • An ability to work independently, and a high level of organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • The confidence to liaise with parents, teachers and other health professionals

Essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Behavioural Science, Social Work or similar
  • Be registered or an ability to be registered with a Behaviour Analysis Board
  • Valid WWCC 
  • Up to date COVID vaccinations as per the NDIS requirements
  • Unrestricted driver’s licence 
  • NDIS worker screening check or willing to obtain prior to commencement
  • Has gained an understanding of and/or experience in Behaviour Therapy 
  • Criminal records check or willing to obtain
  • Able to provide behaviour therapy supports including screening, assessment, program development and intervention monitoring and review in the areas of behaviour support in line with relevant legislative, professional and ethical requirements
  • Ability to provide assessments and interventions including

-Functional Behavioural assessments 

-Developing quality Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans

-Progress and Recommendation reports

-Ongoing therapy

  • Work with a case load of clients who are both private and NDIS together with their families/carers and measure the outcome of intervention strategies to ensure appropriate support is provided and positive outcomes are achieved.
  • Appointments include various environments/locations such as family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, preschools, community settings, telehealth and in clinic sessions
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with public sector agencies, non-government organisations and community groups to facilitate a person-centred approach in developing and delivering intervention programs
  • Work collaboratively as a member of our client’s multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other services to support planning, building team cohesiveness and resolving issues
  • Maintain accurate files and records in our client’s systems to ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and professional requirements
  • Participate in professional supervision and relevant development activities to ensure good practice standards in providing speech pathology support to individuals with communication and/or swallowing support needs
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities to ensure good practice standards of be supports are provided and maintained
  • Proven IT literacy, particularly in Apple and Microsoft applications 
  • Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander and Mature aged candidates are encouraged to apply
