Your opportunity:

  • The Co-Responder Model aim is to prevent and safely resolve mental health crisis situations through enhanced co-operation, collaboration and understanding between Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).
  • The Co-Responder will work with QAS in providing a dual response team. The Co-Response Team provides specialised mental health knowledge in the community, rapid assessment and intervention, and enhance access to information enabling timely access to care.
  • The Co-Responder Model consists of a senior mental health clinician and a QAS officer. This combination of skills safeguards that the person with mental illness is supported appropriately, either through the provision of appropriate psychiatric assessment or where appropriate, transportation to hospital for further psychiatric evaluation.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $147,400 p.a., comprising salary between $118,993 – $129,189 p.a., (Nurse Grade 7) or competitive remuneration package value up to $141,250 p.a., comprising salary between $115,049 – $123,799 p.a., (HP4), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Two Permanent Full Time positions, 76 hours p.f.)
