About us
Dawn House was established in 1980 and provides emergency accommodation and support services to women with children who are experiencing domestic/ family violence. Dawn House is a feminist organisation and uses a strength based approach when supporting clients.
Dawn House considers that being a female is a genuine occupational qualification under the Anti Discrimination Act 1996 (NT).

Qualifications & experience
- Eligibility to be a member of the Australian Counsellors Association or Australian Social Workers Association. Clear analysis of feminist practice as it relates to domestic/family violence. Knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding violence against women and children
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide high quality counselling for women who have experienced domestic/ family violence. Facilitate and contribute to educational/ therapeutic group work. Participate in clinical supervision. Manage all administrative tasks associated with the role and functions
