The Position:

  • Fixed Term Part-Time (With the opportunity to succession plan into a permanent position) 
  • The role would suit someone who is currently studying their Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis. AEIOU can be flexible around your classes and work placements. 
  • Allied Health Assistant – Behavioral Consultant  

More about the Role:

  • The Allied Health Assistant supports the centre-based clinical team 
  • Provide highly skilled, autism-specific, early intervention within the AEIOU framework for children with autism aged from 2 to 6 years
  • The clinical team specialises in teaching children play and social skills, self-care skills, foundational learning skills, functional communication, and adaptive behaviour skills.
  • Your role will work within the Behaviour Analysis discipline helping to implement a range of evidence-based intervention.
  • There will be opportunities to be involved in reviewing intervention plans, setting new goals with support, and developing your documentation skills. 
  • About you:You are motivated to learn how to effectively support young children with autism to live their best lives, 
  • You are enrolled in a Masters of Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Willingness to learn Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) specific techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and families
  • Have your COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (double-dose) or have an exemption
  • Have a current Paid Blue Card (or able to obtain before commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check required if your Working with Vulnerable People was applied for or renewed post 1 February 2021
