Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking an experience College Counsellor to take on this permanent, full time position commencing January 2023.

About the role
The Counsellor at Redeemer Lutheran College is one part of a broader Pastoral Practices team. Theoretically, this team is inclusive of every employee that provides pastoral care to students and parents as part of their broader daily role. More specifically though, a Redeemer Counsellor is a member of a smaller Pastoral Practices management team inclusive of: Principal, Heads of Sub-schools, Pastoral Care Leaders and Pastors and Chaplains. In this team, authority to direct team members is held by the Principal and Head of Senior School.
Skills and Experience:
- The capacity to assess and respond to students with diverse needs and liaise with appropriate support services and professionals;
- Ability to collaborate with the college pastoral care team, teachers and parents to manage and support student needs;
- Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum and assessment;
- A passion for working with students to affect positive change.
- Be able to support the Christian Ethos of the College.
