CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

THE ROLE

Salary: $80 – $120 per hour depending on experience, plus Superannuation

Location: Positions in Kempsey, Tamworth or Taree

Accommodation: Provided

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a background in working with children, to work within a program designed to provide therapy to children in Out of Home Care (OOHC) who have experienced trauma resulting in emotional, psychological, neurological, biological, social, or behavioural challenges. The program utilises cultural identity and Building Blocks to develop the essential skills every person requires to function within their family unit, their local community and the broader environment and meet their full potential. Building Blocks are used to help form the foundation of relationships are personal worth, self-awareness, relations, trust, belonging, acceptance, security, and safety. Neurological Reparative Therapy (NRT) is an overarching process that acts as a Roadmap and guides treatment to promote Healing, Resiliency and Well-Being. This process needs to be led by a Clinical Psychologist, working within a multi-disciplinary team.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • AHPRA Registration
  • Clinical Psychologist
  • Strong background working with children
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Working With Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Covid-19 vaccinated
