About the Organisation
For nearly 35 years, Wungening has led the way with culturally secure programs. Our core focus is addressing the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs on individuals, families, and communities.
To heal mind, body and spirit, we now proudly provide:

- Reintegration into community after release from prison

WUNGENING ARE RECRUITING FOR AOD/COUNSELLOR EDUCATORS (FIXED TERM CONTRACTS) TO WORK ACROSS OUR HUBS IN THE PERTH METROPOLITAN AREA
The AOD Counsellor Educator role is responsible for providing counselling and education services to clients with alcohol and other substance abuse issues as well as:
- Initial assessment of the client and their presenting situation in order to develop an appropriate counselling and case management intervention plan.
- Provide individual counselling.
- Actively support every client to engage with and fully participate in a therapeutic program and achieve positive outcomes.
- Advocate on behalf of the client, when dealing with various systems, community programs, agencies eg. DCP, Dept of Justice, hospitals.
